The Desert Cities, Mitchell Paige MOH Chapter, was chartered in 1998 with a group of veteran Marines and Corpsmen, including its namesake Colonel Mitchell Paige who was awardled the Medal of Honor for heroism at the battle of Guadalcanal.

The Chapter meets for lunch on the third Thursday of the month at Desert Falls Country Club, Palm Desert.  The Chapter was incorporated as a 501 c 19 non profit veterans organization in 2007.

The Chapter supports the 7th Marine Regiment and its Marine families and the Wounded Warriors Detachment at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, CA. The Chapter also supports the Marine JrROTC program at Desert Hot Springs High School and the Devil Pups Program

Chapter members participate in community and social events including the annual Women Marines Luncheon, the Palm Desert Annual Golf Cart Parade, quarterly luncheon barbecues for the Wounded Warriors, the Warrior Appreciation Steak Barbecue each year for the 7th Marine Regiment.  Last Christmas, 140 Complete Turkey Dinners were delivered to the families of Marines deployed to Afghanistan and 120 fifty dollar Visa gift cards for the young enlisted families.

The membership consists of veteran Marines and Corpsmen who served during World War II, Korea,Cold War, Viet Nam, Gulf War, Iraq sand Afghanistan.
