Dick Partee

I entered the Marine Corps through the Platoon Leaders Class in 1958. After graduating from Whittier College in 1961, I was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant  USMCR. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Ca., and was assigned to 1st Recon Battalion.

I was released from active duty in Sept 1964 and joined my fathers insurance business, and in 1968 decided to join the U.S. Marine Reserve.

I then spent an enjoyable 23 years as a Marine Officer in command of 3 Marine Reserve Units. Retiring in 1990 With the rank of Colonel.
